2. Civil inspections on Eskom power
stations
Mr. Nico Barnard, civil engineer at Resonant
Solutions, was asked to perform inspections on all the Eskom
power stations in South Africa. The purpose of these inspections
is to determine the current condition of all the civil structures
and assess the remaining lifetime and maintenance requirements
of these structures.
3. Analysis and optimization of precipitator
A CFD analysis was performed to improve the
gas flow through a electrostatic precipitator.
4. Analysis and optimization of geysers
Transient CFD analyses were performed on
a number of geyser configurations to determine the most efficient
design configurations for typical water usage profiles.
